PILGRIMAGE TO BIRMINGHAM TO THE ICON OF THREE HANDED VIRGIN FROM HILANDAR MONASERY (MOUNT ATHOS) - 22 OF FEBRUARY 2025

Dear Sourozh Pilgrims,

 

With the blessing of His Emminence Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, our parishioners are warmly wellcome to participate in one-day Pilgrimage to Birmingham,  on 22th of February, Saturday, 2025 to venerate the Icon of Three Handed Virgin, which has been taken to us from Mount Athos from this famous Serbian Hilandar Monastery.

 

The pilgrimage will be led by Archpriest Mihail Gogolev of Sourozh Diocese.

The Liturgy will start at 10.30 at the Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Prince Lazar, 92 Griffins Brook Ln, Birmingham B30 1QG.

 

Later there will be Moleben (Prayer Service) and Akafist to Mother of God.

 

Pilgrims are advised to make their own, individual way to Birmingham, as no transport has been provided.

 

Following church services, there will be Trapeza (lunch).

Please bring some food to share between pilgrims, that would be greatly appreciated.

 

Pilgrimage is free, but any contributions are welcome.
