« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh begins Archpastoral Visit to Patriarchal Parishes in the USA »

On April 4, 2025, the Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, arrived in New York. The bishop's visit was timed to coincide with the festive services in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the repose of St. Tikhon the Confessor, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'.

Upon arrival at St. Nicholas Cathedral, Bishop Matthew held a working meeting for the preparations of the celebrations with the rector, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, acting Patriarchal Parishes Chancellor Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov), and Vice-Chancellor, Priest Mark Rashkov.

During the visit, the archpastor will visit St. Nicholas Church in Bayonne and St. John the Baptist Church in Little Falls, where he will conduct services and hold meetings with the clergy and parishioners. The bishop is accompanied on the trip by his personal secretary, Nikolai Trubnikov.
