On March 18, 2025, as part of a business trip to France, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh met with His Eminence Metropolitan John of Dubna, head of the Archdiocese of Western European Parishes of Russian Tradition.

Metropolitan John greeted Bishop Matthew at the entrance to the main church of the Archdiocese - the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris on rue Daru.

Vladyka John acquainted Bishop Matthew with the relics of the Сathedral and historical evidence of the church life of the parishes of the Russian tradition in Western Europe throughout the 20th century.

Then the archpastors held a bilateral fraternal meeting, at which they discussed issues of interaction between the Diocese of Sourozh and the Archdiocese of Western European Parishes of the Russian Tradition.
