On January 23, 2025, on the day of commemoration of St. Theophan the Recluse of Vysha (1894), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dmitry Nedostupenko, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

After the prayer behind the ambo, the Archpastor and the concelebrating clergy performed a prayerful glorification before the venerated icon of Saint Theophan the Recluse with a particle of his holy relics.  After which Bishop Matthew addressed the parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification, noting the main points of life of the ascetic, theologian, spiritual mentor, translator of patristic works and one of the most revered spiritual writers of the 19th century.
