The meeting was attended by clergy, church wardens of parishes and diocesan communities, trustees of the diocese.
After discussing procedural issues, the participants elected a deputy chairman, secretary, and interpret for the meeting.
According to the agenda, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh delivered a report on the current state of church life in the diocese.
The meeting saw elections to the diocesan court, after which His Grace Bishop Matthew swore in the newly elected members of the church court of the Sourozh diocese: Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov (Chairman), Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Hegumen Deiniol (Davis), Priest John Kazadoev (Secretary) and Priest Alexander Menshikov.
The diocesan assembly approved 5 trustees of the diocesan trust: Subdeacon Leonid Gontmaher, Herman Rosenfeld, Pavel Topsokhalov, Dennis Flower and Valentina Futoryanova.
A report was heard from the diocesan treasurer Andrei Bardakov.
A report on church life in the Republic of Ireland was made by Dean of the diocesan district of Ireland, Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov. Head of the diocesan department for inter-Christian relations, Archpriest Stephen Platt, presented a report on the relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Church of England. Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, spoke about the distance courses of spiritual education that currently are available in various church educational institutions.
