« Registration is open for the distance Theological Courses of the Western European Exarchate »

In pursuance of the decision of the Synod of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Western Europe and with the blessing of Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, a new educational initiative – the distance Theological Courses of the Western European Exarchate - will begin in the 2024 academic year.

The courses operate on the basis of the Spiritual and Educational Center of St. Genevieve of Paris in France and offer distance religious and theological education to candidates for the clergy and laity preparing to teach in parish schools, in catechetical and missionary courses and to administer youth and other parish associations. The courses are designed to improve the level of knowledge in the field of Holy Scripture, dogmatic theology, Church history, Orthodox worship, etc.

The courses are open to Orthodox Christians, male and female, aged 20 to 60, with a completed secondary education.

The courses are taught remotely, which allows you to:

- communicate with teachers, classmates and the administrator via the distance learning system (in different modes);

- study exclusively remotely;

- study using the modern distance learning system Moodle, which is used by many educational institutions around the world;

- have constant access to educational materials within the framework of the courses, which allows you to study at any time convenient for you.

Those wishing to enroll in the Theological Courses must submit to the secretariat a completed applicant application form, as well as other documents (see the Theological Courses website) no later than October 19, 2024.

Admission to the Theological Courses is carried out without entrance exams by the decision of the head of the Theological Courses.

After enrolling in the Theological Courses, you will receive the necessary information for registering in the Moodle distance learning system.

Classes start on October 22, 2024.
