« On the eve of the 13th Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of September 21, 2024, on the eve of the 13th Sunday after Pentecost, before the Exaltation of the Cross, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East-England, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of the chosen saints of God) was brought out from the altar to the center of the church.
After reading the Gospel, the Right Reverend Archpastor anointed the clergy and worshipers with consecrated oil.
