On the evening of September 20, 2024, on the eve of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of Our Lord and the Virgin Mary, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily residing in the Sourozh Diocese, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the vespers, the Right Reverend Archpastor performed the litiya with the blessing of five loaves of bread, wine and oil. At matins, after reading the Gospel, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshipers with consecrated oil.
