« A regular meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Sourozh »

On July 3, 2024, at the Dormition Cathedral in London, a regular meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Sourozh was held under the chairmanship of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Dean of the diocesan district of Northern England, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko (Secretary of the Diocesan Council), Dean of the diocesan district of South-East England, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, and Dean of the diocesan district of Central England, Archpriest Stephen Platt. 

Members of the Diocesan Council proclaimed “Eternal Memory” for the long-term churchwarden of the Church of the Intercession in Manchester, Mariane Greenan, who died at the age of 88, on May 15, 2024 after a long illness.

During the meeting, a number of reports were heard. His Grace and members of the Council discussed current affairs in the diocese, and made a number of decisions in accordance with the agenda of the meeting.
