On June 21, 2024, on the eve of Trinity Parental Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated a funeral evening service (Parastas) with the reading of the 17th kathisma at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Priest Nikita Kozlov and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

At the funeral litanies, petitions were offered for the repose of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), the founder of the Sourozh diocese, whose 110th birthday was celebrated on June 19, clergy and laity of the diocese and all Orthodox Christians who have passed away.
