The choir of the Dormition Cathedral in London has successfully completed the first stage of the III Patriarchal International Festival of Sacred Music “Light of Christ” and will take part in the second part of the competition.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', starting in 2021, the annual Patriarchal International Festival of Sacred Music “Light of Christ” is being held.

On February 15, 2024, an extensive competitive program of the III festival “Light of Christ” started. The goal of the project is to promote musical and educational activities and the creative potential of choral groups performing Russian sacred music.  Since its inception, the music forum has brought together more than 2,000 participants from 42 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as from other countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, France.

Nominations for the Light of Christ festival in 2024:

- Large mixed choirs (18-60 people)

- Small mixed choirs (12-18 people)

- Ensembles (3-11 people)

- Men's choirs

- Monastery choirs

- Youth choirs (16 to 35 years old)
