On May 12, 2024, on the 2nd Sunday after Easter, of the Apostle Thomas, the day of Antipascha, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
Concelebrating with His Grace were Dean of the diocesan district of South-East England, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily staying on the territory of the Sourozh diocese, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Ioan Sîlnic, Deacon Victor Nikiforov and Deacon Alexander Kapustin.
Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
Prior to the start of the Liturgy, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Mother of God and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
In conclusion, His Grace Vladyka addressed those present with words of sermon and spiritual edification.  Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
As a blessing for her many years of diligent work for the glory of the Holy Church, M.S. Shchirskaya, employee of the Dormition Cathedral was awarded the Bishop's Honour Letter.
