The archpastoral visit of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh to the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada took place from December 12 to 20, 2024.

Concluding his visit to Canada, Bishop Matthew visited St. Barbara's Cathedral in Edmonton, Alberta, where he served a short moleben and venerated part of the relics of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara. The left foot of St. Barbara was transferred from Kyiv to Canada by Archbishop Panteleimon (Rudyk) of Edmonton and Canada and donated by him to St. Barbara's Cathedral in Edmonton on the day of its consecration in 1960.

The Right Reverend Vladyka was seen off by Dean of the Patriarchal Parishes in the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, Rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Igor Kisil, Rector of the parish district “Orthodox IX” Archpriest Evgeny Protsenko, church warden of the cathedral Roman Lopushinsky and the treasurer of the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada John Prokopuk.
