On the evening of November 28, 2024, on the eve of the day of remembrance of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Matthew (60), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Archpriest Dmitry Nedostupenko, clergy and guests of the Sourozh Diocese.
The deacon's rank was led by Protodeacon Ioan Sîlnic.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the Vespers, the Right Reverend Archpastor performed the litiya with the blessing of five loaves of bread, wine and oil.
At Matins, after the Gospel reading, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshipers with blessed oil.
In recognition of his church work, Bishop Matthew awarded the altar servant of the Dormition Cathedral in London, Nikolai Makarov, the right to wear a cassock.
