On the evening of October 19, 2024, on the eve of the 17th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily residing in the Sourozh Diocese, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Protodeacon Ioan Sîlnic.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the matins, a reliquary containing great Christian relics (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of the chosen saints of God) was brought out from the altar to the center of the church.
After reading the Gospel, the Right Reverend Archpastor anointed the clergy and worshipers with consecrated oil.
