« On the Feast of the Nativity of Christ, a late Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral »

On January 7, 2023, on the Feast of the Nativity of Christ, the late Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

The divine service was celebrated by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the diocesan district of South-East England, assisted by Deacon Ioan Sîlnic and Deacon Cosmin Frateanu.

During the Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh prayed in the altar of the church.

Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral сhoir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

Following the after communion verse, the Christmas message of Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, was read out in Russian and English.

At the end of the Liturgy, glorification of the feast was performed, after which His Grace Bishop Matthew addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and festive congratulations.
