« The archpastoral visit of Bishop Matthew of Sourozh to Canada begins »

On May 18, upon arrival in Montreal, the largest city in the province of Quebec, His Grace Vladyka visited St. Andrews Cemetery in the suburbs of Montreal - town Upper Melbourne, where he prayed at the graves of famous Russian historical figures who ended their earthly journey in exile and were buried on Canadian soil. The Archpastor served a brief memorial service at the grave of Count Paul N. Ignatieff (1870-1945), the penultimate Education Minister of the Russian Empire.
On the trip, His Grace Vladyka is accompanied by his personal secretary N.V. Trubnikov.
