« Sourozh diocese' parish community in honour of St. Cuthbert in Durham has a new place of worship »

On March 25, 2023, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the diocesan community in honour of St. Cuthbert of Lindisfarne (c. 634 - 687) in Durham.With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the divine service was celebrated by Priest Viktor Akhryapin, Rector of the diocesan community of St. Ninian of Whithorn in Carlisle and a cleric of the Church of Great Martyr George the Victorious in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Anglican Parish of St. Mary Magdalene in Belmont, a suburb of Durham, provided, with great cordiality, an opportunity for the Orthodox believers of Durham and the surrounding areas to celebrate divine services, pray and communicate at meals under the arches of their church, built in the middle of the 19th century.
Divine services will be celebrated regularly on the last Saturday of each month at St Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont, Durham DH1 2QW.
