On February 15, 2023, on the feast of the Meeting of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Michaiel Gogoleff, Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov, Dean of the Diocesan District of the Republic of Ireland, Priest Vasily Gandzyuk, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Sergiy Sokolovsky, Deacon Victor Nikiforov and Deacon Ion Chernelevsky.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the Little Entrance, His Grace Vladyka honored Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov with a liturgical award of the Russian Orthodox Church - the right to wear a pectoral cross with decorations, in consideration of his diligent pastoral ministry.
After the augmented litany, the Archpastor proclaimed a prayer for the granting of peace.
Following to the prayer behind the ambo, the glorification of the feast and the rite of consecrating the candles were performed.
At the end of the service, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch read out, in Russian and English, the Patriarchal message on the occasion of the celebration of Orthodox Youth Day.
