On December 27, 2023, on the day of remembrance of St. John of Sezenovo (Tambov), Fool for the sake of Christ, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

The divine service was celebrated according to the priestly rite.

At the end of the Liturgy, His Grace the Archpastor addressed those present with a word of sermon and spiritual edification, telling about the life of St. John, the recluse of Sezenovo, venerated in the Synaxises of Voronezh, Lipetsk and Tambov Saints. Vladyka especially noted the spiritual feat of St. John, who inspired the monastic works of St. Silouan of Athos, becoming for him an example to follow in his monastic life.
