On November 8, 2023, on the day of remembrance of the Great Martyr Demetrios of Thessaloniki (c. 306), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh prayed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ at the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

The divine service was celebrated by the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, assisted by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch. The clergy of the Cathedral prayed in the altar of the church.

Liturgical chants were performed by a chamber choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

After the augmented litany, a prayer for the granting of peace was proclaimed.

After the prayer behind the ambo, the Archpastor and the cathedral clergy performed a prayerful glorification in front of the icon of the Great Martyr Demetrios.

At the end of the divine service, Vladyka Matthew warmly congratulated Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko on the anniversary of his presbytery ordination and presented him with a holy prosphora and a bouquet of flowers.
