On September 9, 2022, with the blessing of the Rector of the Cathedral, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, a bell ringing took place in the Dormition Cathedral in London in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
According to the British tradition, commemorative bells in churches, monasteries, chapels and town halls rang out throughout the country from 12 noon to 1 pm.
It is noteworthy that on the bell tower of the Dormition Cathedral there is a bell with the image of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscription "God Save The Queen", cast by a special order in 2016 for the consecration of the Cathedral by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
