On July 9, 2022, on the day of veneration of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.

On the day of the patronal feast of the right aisle of the church in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Grace was assisted by the Rector archpriest Damian Kruglik, clergy and guests of the church.

Following the prayer behind the ambo, a festive procession and a moleben were held in front of the revered copy of the Tikhvin Icon.

After that, the Rector of the church, archpriest Damian, addressed the Archpastor with a festive greeting and, as a token of gratitude and appreciation, presented Vladyka Matthew with a copy of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God.

In response, Vladyka thanked Father Damian, promising to take the donated icon abroad with him when he returned to the Sourozh diocese.  After an edifying sermon addressed to the serving clergy and parishioners, His Grace Vladyka gave the audience his archpastoral blessing.
