« Archpriest Michael Fortunato reposed in the Lord »

On February 19, 2022, at the age of 91, archpriest Michael Fortunato, a supernumerary cleric of the Archdiocese of Western European Parishes of Russian Tradition, reposed in the Lord.

For more than 45 years, Father Michael Fortunato was the choir master of the choir of the Dormition Cathedral in London, Diocese of Sourozh, being a close associate of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom).  Since 1990, he actively participated in the revival of church singing in Russia.

His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, clergy and laity of the Diocese of Sourozh express their deep condolences to the family, friends and spiritual children of the newly departed pastor and pray for the repose of his soul where the righteous rest.
