On October 7, 2022, on the eve of the Memorial Day of St. Sergius of Radonezh, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, took part in the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.The evening service was headed by Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova, co-served by a host of bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At Vespers, bread, wheat, wine and oil were consecrated by DECR Chairman Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe.
