On October 26, 2022, on the feast of the Iberian Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sokolniki in Moscow.

Vladyka was assisted by the Dean of the Resurrection District, Rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Dasaev, the clergy of the church and of the deanery.

The deacon rank was headed by Protodeacon Valery Shcheglov.

Priest Theodore Kharitoshkin delivered a sermon following the sacramental verse.

Liturgical hymns were performed by two choirs: mixed one under the direction of the choir director E. Piskareva and male choir under the direction of the choir master Deacon Mikhail Borodai.

At the end of the service, a moleben was celebrated in front of the revered copy of the Iberian Icon of the Mother of God and the statutory "many years" were proclaimed.

Rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander, warmly welcomed the distinguished guest. In response, Bishop Matthew thanked the clergy and those praying, conveyed to all those present the blessing of His Holiness the Patriarch and congratulations with the feast from the Vicar of the Eastern Vicariate, Bishop Panteleimon of Vereya, the parish website of the Church of the Resurrection in Sokolniki reports.
