On August 14, 2021, on the feast of Procession of the Honorable Wood of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.His Grace was assisted by archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, and protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the choir under the direction of Anna Kobrina.
After the prayer behind the ambo, the Right Reverend Vladyka and the clergy worshiped the Precious and Life-giving Cross of the Lord. Then took place the consecration of honey, which is done on this day according to the church charter and is performed in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At the end of the divine service, the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with words of a sermon and spiritual edification.
