On May 24, 2021, on the day of commemoration of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Methodius and Cyril, first Teachers of Slavs, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, and protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

This day is the namesday of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture.

At the augmented litany, special petitions were raised for the health of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.  Vladyka Matthew proclaimed a prayer from the thanksgiving moleben for the health of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

At the end of the Liturgy, the Right Reverend Archpastor addressed those present with words of a sermon and spiritual edification, after which a solemn many years was proclaimed to His Holiness Patriarch.

The divine service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
