On May 22, 2021, on the feast of the transfer of the relics of the Holy Hierarch and Wonderworker Nicholas of Myra in Lycia to Bari (1087), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, and protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were performed by a quartet directed by the cathedral's choir director Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the end of the divine service, the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with words of a sermon and congratulated those bearing name of Nicholas and those present with the day of memory of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
After the service, teachers, parents and students of the parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in London warmly congratulated Vladyka Matthew with his 50th jubilee and presented him bouquets of flowers.
