« A cleric of the Diocese of Sourozh took part in the Inter Faith Week event by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea »

On Tuesday, 16th November 2021 by the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Archpriest Joseph Skinner represented His Grace at a reception at Kensington Town Hall hosted by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Councillor Gerard Hargreaves, to mark Inter Faith Week, an annual event that highlights the good work done by local faith, inter faith and faith-based groups and organisations and promotes good relations and appropriate forms of cooperation.
Addressing the twenty or so representatives of faith communities in Kensington and Chelsea, the Mayor expressed appreciation for the positive contribution of the various communities to the life of the Royal Borough. A recent example was the welcome extended to refugees from Afghanistan who are temporarily living in the  neighbourhood.
Representatives of the Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox Churches included His Grace Bishop Maximos of Meliton (Ecumenical Patriarchate), His Grace Bishop Hovakim, Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Britain and Protopresbyter Goran Spaic of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
