« A cleric of the Sourozh Diocese took part in the All-Russian online conference "The Year of Science and Technology: Secular Peace and Religiousness" »

On September 24, 2021, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, cleric of the Dormition Cathedral in London, Rector of the parishes of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Swindon and of the Martyr King Edward in Wimborne, took part in the All-Russian online  conference "Year of Science and Technology: Secular World and Religiousness" (with international participation) held in the premises of the Sarov Institute of Physics and Technology under the auspices of the Scientific Theological Educational Association (STEA) in the framework of the XVII Sarov Readings "Orthodox Summer-2021".  With the blessing of Metropolitan George of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, this event was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the creation of the SarIPT Department of Theology.
"Conference "Orthodox Summer" has been held in Sarov since 2005, gradually expanding its geography and involving more and more new participants. Now it has grown to the scale of readings. Due to sanitary restrictions, it has been held online for the second year in a row.  That enabled the participants from different regions of Russia and, for the first time, from abroad, to join the forum. Old friends of the SarIPT Department of Theology and admirers of Seraphim of Sarov from Great Britain - cleric of the Dormition Cathedral in London archpriest Maxim Nikolsky and theologian from Cambridge Jeanne Knights - joined the conference. The simultaneous translation of Gene Knight's speech on the influence of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov on our life was provided", the Orthodox Sarov website reports.
