On January 6, 2021, on the eve of the Nativity of Christ (Christmas Eve), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Dormition Cathedral in London.His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Priest Dimitri Nedostupenko, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the end of the Liturgy, troparion and kontakion of the Nativity of Christ were sung in front of the Christmas candle, lit to commemorate the Star of Bethlehem, and the icon of the feast. After that, His Grace Vladyka addressed the parishioners with a sermon and words of spiritual edification.
