On September 5, 2020, on the 42nd anniversary of the death of Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, served a memorial service at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, acting Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-East of England, Priest Dimitri Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
In March 1970, Metropolitan Nikodim was entrusted with the temporary administration of the Patriarchal Parishes of the North and South Americas.  In April 1970, in the United States, Vladyka Nikodim signed an agreement with Metropolitan Irenaeus of New York on the conditions for granting autocephaly to the American Metropolis, being at the origins of the establishment of a new church life in North America.
