« Divine services were resumed in the parish of Saints Equal to the Apostles Constantine and Helena in York »

On August 1, 2020, on the feast of the uncovering of the relics of St. Seraphim, the Wonderworker of Sarov, the first Divine Liturgy after the weakening of quarantine measures associated with the coronavirus epidemic was held in the parish of Saints Equal to the Apostles Constantine and Helena in the city of York.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the divine service was celebrated by Priest Anatoly Vikhrov, Rector of the parishes of Saint  Ksenia of St. Petersburg (Leeds) and of the Meeting of the Lord (Bradford).  After a five-month break, Orthodox residents of York and its environs were able to take part in the Divine Liturgy, to confess and receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
Through the efforts of the parishioners, in accordance with state rules, all the necessary measures were taken in the church building to comply with quarantine norms and social distancing.
According to the established tradition, a Liturgy in the city of York is celebrated every first Saturday of the month at St Mary's Church, Bishophill Junior, York, YO1 6EN
