On August 9, 2020, on the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of the Great Martyr and Physician Pantelimon (305), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by the acting Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-East of England, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the augmented litany, petitions were raised for deliverance from the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered a prayer, read during the spread of a harmful epidemic.
At the end of the Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew congratulated parishioners and clergy of the Cathedral with the feast and addressed them with a word of edification.
The divine service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
After the Divine Liturgy, the cathedral was opened for visiting parishioners and individual prayer.
Worship services with participation of parishioners will be held every Sunday.  Due to the need to comply with government rules for exiting the quarantine, those wishing to take part in the Liturgy should read the Rules for visiting the Cathedral.
