On July 23, 2020, on the day of memory of Venerable Anthony of Pechersk, Kiev, head of all Russian monks, patron Saint of Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), founder of the Sourozh Diocese, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served a panikhida for the ever-memorable Vladyka Anthony at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, acting Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-East of England.
After the memorial service, Vladyka Matthew addressed a word of spiritual edification, drawing attention to the main milestones in the biography of Metropolitan Anthony and his apostolic path in establishing Orthodoxy over the course of half a century of archpastoral ministry on the British Isles.
