« Patron Saints' feast was celebrated in the parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Portsmouth »

On July 12, 2020, on the feast of the Holy Glorious chief Apostles Peter and Paul, the parish of the Sourozh diocese in the city of Portsmouth celebrated its patronal feast.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Dean of the Diocesan District of South-West England, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, assisted by Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
It is noteworthy that after a long interruption caused by the pandemic of coronavirus, services in the Portsmouth parish were resumed on the day of the patronal celebration.  Liturgical chants were performed in znamenny tradition.  Due to the need to comply with mandatory quarantine measures for social distance, parishioners prayed at a safe distance from each other.
The year 2020 is the 25th anniversary of the creation of the parish; a separate worship service and celebrations are planned for this occasion.
