On March 7, 2020, on Saturday of the first week of the Great Lent, feast day of St. Theodore Tyron and Holy Blessed Matrona of Moscow, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of Dimitry Tugarinov.
Following the prayer before the ambo, the Right Reverend Vladyka and fellow clergy served a panikhida for the newly-departed church worker Igor Stepshin.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Matthew congratulated parishioners and clergy of the Cathedral with the completion of the first week of the Great Lent and addressed everyone with words of edification.
