The divine service was celebrated by the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Priest Dimitri Nedostupenko, who was assisted by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevich.
At the litany for the departed, petitions were proclaimed for the repose of the ever-memorable Most Holy Patriarch Alexy.
At the end of the service, Priest Dimitri addressed the parishioners with a sermon.
The service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
From December 4, 2020, after a break due to government restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, the Dormition Cathedral in London is open for parishioners to participate in Divine Liturgies on Saturdays, Sundays and certain church feasts.
Evening services will continue to be celebrated without the presence of the congregation.
The celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism is resumed.
According to the UK government's guidelines for a gradual exit from quarantine, parishioners should adhere to established social distancing and other quarantine measures. To do this, please familiarize yourself with the new rules for visiting the church.
The Cathedral is open:
- to participate in the Divine Liturgy on Saturdays, Sundays and certain church feasts - from 9:30 to 11:30 (prior registration is required)
