« On the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London for parishioners at risk group and those over 70 years old »

On November 4, 2020, on the day of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (in memory of the deliverance of Moscow and Russia from the Poles in 1612), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London. 
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the augmented litany, petitions were raised to get rid of the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered up a prayer, which is read during the spread of a harmful epidemic.
At the end of the Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew congratulated the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with the feast and addressed them with a word of edification.
At the Liturgy, the Holy Mysteries of Christ were received by parishioners aged 70 and over who are part of the official risk group approved by the Government authorities in connection with quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic.
