« On the 24th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On November 22, 2020, on the 24th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast day of St Nectarios of Aegina, the Metropolitan of Pentapolis, wonderworker (+1920), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the augmented litany, petitions were raised to get rid of the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered up a prayer, which is read during the spread of a harmful epidemic.
At the end of the Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew  performed a prayful glorification in front of the icon of Saint Nectarios and delivered a sermon.
The service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.

Due to the state quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic, services in the churches of the Sourozh diocese, including the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London, are celebrated without the participation of parishioners, behind closed doors.

Please note that lists with names for commemorations are accepted in the book shop of the Cathedral and on-line - on the official website: http://pominovenie.sourozh.org
