« Services continue in the Orthodox community of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, in Castlebar, Republic of Ireland »

Divine Liturgies continue to be celebrated weekly in the Orthodox community of St.Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, in the Irish city of Castlebar.  The community of St.Tikhon is one of the few places in Ireland where, during the coronavirus pandemic, services are celebrated without a quarantine break.
The clergy and laity of the Diocese of Sourozh living in Ireland try to support the parish life in the community to the best of their strength and ability, celebrating joint services in a small church arranged in the building of a former primary school belonging to the local Catholic parish.
So, on October 4, 2020, the cleric of the Dublin parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, Deacon Mark Dadela, concelebrated with the Rector of the community, Priest John Kazadoev, on the celebration the leave of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  On October 9 and 11, Archpriest Nikolai Kobets, Rector of the parishe of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the city of Athlone, and of the parish of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian in the city of Limerick, arrived to participate in the celebration on the patronal feast of the community.
The divine services are held in compliance with the state requirements to ensure safety during the coronavirus epidemic.
Community of St. Tikhon expresses gratitude to the clergy and parishioners for their prayerful support in difficult times.
