On November 28, 2019, at the Dormition Cathedral, London, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Great Britain Andrei Vladimirovich Kelin.
Bishop Matthew warmly welcomed the Ambassador and his wife at the entrance to the Cathedral.  During the meeting, Vladyka explained the structure of the cathedral, spoke about the relics kept in the church and about the history of the Russian Orthodoxy in the UK.  Vladyka presented Andrei Vladimirovich with the image of our Lord Jesus Christ as the blessing to the beginning of his work in a new high position.
During the conversation, the parties discussed a number of cooperation issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh.
