On October 20, 2019, on the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
The Right Reverend Archpastor was assisted by Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Priest Alexander Menshikov, Rector of the parishes of St. Macarius of Aberdeen in the city of Aberdeen and of Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Dundee, Scotland, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of Marina Bezmenova.
At the augmented litany, petitions were offered fot the unity of the Orthodox Church and the preservation of the Church from divisions and schisms.
After the augmented litany, the Right Reverend Vladyka offered a prayer for peace in Ukraine.
At the end of the service, the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with words of preaching and spiritual edification.
