On October 19, 2019, as part of the commemorative inter-Christian events “Light of Faith” in the Roman held at the Catholic Cathedral of Westminster, London, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh met with the primate of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and the President of the Roman Catholic Episcopal Archbishop's Conference of England and Wales, Cardinal Vincent Nichols.

The meeting was attended by Archpriest Stephan Platt, Head of the Diocesan Department for Inter-Christian Relations of the Sourozh Diocese.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of inter-Christian cooperation in the UK.
