On September 2, 2018, on the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, on the after feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh prayed at the divine service at the Stavropegic parish of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow, in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The divine service was performed by laity order due to the participation of Archpriest Sergey Rasskazovsky, Rector of the Church, in church celebrations in St. Petersburg, Russia. 

After the service, Vladyka got acquainted with the church, with the work of the Sunday school,  spoke with the parishioners and taught the blessing to the students for the new school year, which begins in Canada, this year, on September 4.
