« Archbishop Elisey took part in the Serbian celebration of the feast of St Basil of Ostrog »

On May 11th, Bright Saturday, Archbishop Elisey took part in the celebration of St. Basil of Ostrog - one of the most venerated Serbian saints, which took place in the London Church of St Sava of the Serbian Orthodox Church. In honour of St Basil of Ostrog and in accordance with Serbian tradition, a moleben was celebrated with the cutting of the blessed bread (kalacha), which was attended by the Bishop Dositei of Britain and Scandinavian (Serbian Patriarchate), Bishop John of Liplian, Vicar Bishop of the Patriarchate of Serbia, and representatives of the Orthodox Churches in the UK. The celebration was attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia.
