« The Diocesan Council and Administrative Board met at the Cathedral »

On December 11th a joint meeting of the Diocesan Council and the Diocesan Administrative Board was held at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God, under the chairmanship of Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh.
The members of the council discussed the results of the recent events in the life of the diocese, chief among which had been the main celebration of the 50th anniversary of the diocese and the first meeting of bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church serving abroad, which had taken place in October. The Chairman expressed his gratitude to all those who had worked hard to ensure this favourable outcome.
The Council discussed the work of the various Diocesan Departments as well as the agenda for the Diocesan Assembly, which is to be held at the Cathedral on Jan 12th, 2013.
