« Archbishop Elisey made an archpastoral visit to Scotland »

On 8th October, feast of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Parish of the Annunciation of the Mother of God in Dundee. Priest George Zavershinsky, Rector of the Parish, and Archdeacon Dmitry Nedostupenko, cleric of the London Cathedral of the Dormition, took part in the service.
On Sunday 9th October, feast of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, Archbishop Elisey arrived at Aberdeen to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Parish of St Machar of Aberdeen. 
After the service Vladyka greeted Priest George Zavershinsky, Rector of the Parish and Dean of the Diocesan distrist of Scotland and small isles, with his 50th birthday, made him a gift of an icon of Christ the Saviour and awarded him the Hierarchal Certificate of Merit. Archbishop Elisey also passed the Patriarchal Certificate of Merit to Fr George’s spouse Lana Zavershinskaya to mark her labours in the Russian school of the Patriarchal Metochion of St Peter and St Paul in Dublin.
