« The 25th anniversary of the ordination as a priest of Archbishop Elisey of Souroz »

On 18 January, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination as a priest. It took place at the Cathedral of St Nicholas and the Holy Theophany of the Lord in Leningrad in 1986 and was performed by Archbishop Meliton (Soloviev) of Tikhvin, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Leningrad.

After the Divine Liturgy and Great Blessing of the Waters at the Cathedral of the Dormition on the Eve of the Holy Theophany, Archbishop Elisey accepted greetings from Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh. Archpriest Mikhail Dudko, Precentor of the Cathedral of the Dormition, greeted Vladyka on behalf of clergy and laity of the Cathedral.
